The Tupelo Police Department has had an active warrant on Gates since July 2008.
Gates was recently featured on Tupelo Police Department Top 5 Most Wanted.
After being contacted by friends and family members telling Gates they had seen her picture on billboards, Gates checked on the internet and discovered she was wanted.
Gate's Attorney contacted the detectives and surrendered her to the Tupelo Police Department.
Gates’ bond was set at $1,000.00 by Lee County Justice Court Judge Pat Carr.
