JACKSON — Waiting to pay your income taxes at the last minute?

If so, you've got company in the Mississippi Governor's Mansion.

Responding to a question Wednesday at a news conference in Jackson, Republican Gov. Haley Barbour said he and his wife, Marsha, will file their state and federal taxes on Thursday, the deadline day.

His explanation: "When you've got to pay, you file late."

Barbour says he knows how much money he owes — but he doesn't want to share that information with the public.
