Northeast, ICC set for play in MACJC baseball tourney

North Division champion ICC will entertain Pearl River today to open MACJC state baseball tournament action, while Northeast travels to Hinds.

ICC will earn the host role for next week’s state tourney with a series victory.

For ICC, Southeastern Louisiana signee Joseph Koon of Tupelo, 12-1 with an 2.10 ERA, will take the mound for Game 1 at 6 p.m.

Auburn signee Will Irvin is scheduled to pitch the second game, Saturday at 2 p.m. A third game, if needed, would follow.

Northeast (25-25) and Hinds will open their series in Raymond today, also at 6 p.m.
