Ronda Scruggs of Ashland and Sherry Bean of Lamar were found guilty April 26 in Benton County Justice Court.
Scruggs was ordered to pay fines and restitution of $2,736 and was permanently disqualified from the program, as this was her third program violation.
Bean was ordered to pay fines and restitution of $3,122. Because this was her first program violation, she was disqualified from the program for 12 months.
The state said to expect more arrests in Benton County.
SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, is designed to help low-income families buy food. SNAP recipients are issued an Electronic Benefits Transfer card to purchase food using their SNAP benefits.
