“The investigation of the incident concerning Shobal Johnson was completed," Leigh said."Mr. Johnson was terminated by the superintendent. In accordance with district policy, Mr. Johnson has a right to request a hearing related to the action taken."
His termination comes after an investigation into an in-class altercation between Johnson and a student.
The altercation, which occurred approximately two weeks ago, was videotaped by several students in the classroom. One of the students placed a video in the hands of the Monroe Journal which has become a viral sensation on Monroe360.com.
