UPDATE: Itawamba County Sheriff OK after injury

Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson is back home after being injured last night during a high speed pursuit with an escaped suspect.

According to Deputy Terry Johnson, Dickinson suffered multiple bruises after losing control of his truck and flipping it several times during a chase along County Road 1970. He was rushed to the hospital and released at approximately 7 a.m. this morning. He is currently at home, recuperating.

The suspect is being held in the Itawamba County jail.
