Aberdeen High School graduate and current Mississippi State senior Jemmye Carroll made it through the audition process for the forerunner of modern day reality shows and landed a place in the nearly 10,000-square-foot house in Uptown New Orleans, currently owned by Los Angeles Clipper point guard Baron Davis. The seven bedroom house was also featured on an episode of MTV Cribs.
Now in its 24th season, this year is the second time the show was filmed in New Orleans. Filming for this season lasted from December 2009 until May 12. Set to the back drop of Mardi Gras season and bar crawls throughout the Big Easy, this season is also hopefully intended to help play a small role in the rebirth of a post Hurricane Katrina New Orleans according to Bunim-Murry Productions, who produces the show.
