MAC All-Star basketball games to be played next Saturday

CLINTON – Eight Northeast Mississippi high school basketball players will be playing in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Star basketball games on July 10 at Mississippi College’s A. E. Wood Coliseum.

The two games, sponsored by Mississippi Sports Medicine, feature Mississippi’s best rising high school seniors. The girls game is scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m., with the boys contest to immediately follow.

In the 46th girls All-Star game, Chris Higginbottom of Belmont and Jonas James of Lanier will coach a North squad featuring Kelsei Ewings of West Point, Shaquilla Isom of Lafayette, Chyanna Cunningham of Tupelo, Rhandi Ball of Pontotoc and Krystal Jackson of New Site.

The 56th boys game will feature Northeast Mississippi standouts Acie Vance of Ripley, Deontaye Ewing of Tupelo and David Gardner of Okolona.

The boys North team will be coached by George Christian of O’Bannon and Roderick Davidson of Ridgeland.
