Two people died in separate auto accidents Friday in Northeast Mississippi, one in Alcorn County and one in Clay County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Rosemary Adams, 54, of Euclaid, Ohio, died as the result of a two-vehicle crash shortly before 5 p.m. on state Highway 72, east of County Road 746 in Alcorn County. She was pronounced dead at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth.

Adams was a passenger in a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Geannie H. Parker, 66, of Ashland. Parker was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

The other vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Versa driven by Donna Isbell, 51, of Glen. She was transported by ambulance to NMMC-Tupelo.

Everyone involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

Shane Marshall Delay, 23, of West Point, died in a two-vehicle crash around 1:30 p.m. Friday on state Highway 50 at the intersection of Waverly Road. His motorcycle collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Danny Comer, 48, of West Point. Three children ages 9, 10 and 13 were passengers in Comer’s vehicle, which was pulling a boat.

Delay was pronounced dead at Baptist Hospital in Columbus.

Both accidents are still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
