HOUSTON – A man wanted in connection with a weekend convenience store robbery in Houston has turned himself in and is currently being held in jail in West Point.

Will Frank Bean, 40, of Houston, turned himself in to West Point police Thursday and has been charged with robbery of a convenience store there two weeks ago. Bean is the prime suspect in the Saturday night robbery of Express Lane in Houston.

“He turned himself in to authorities in West Point and we will be talking to him as soon as we can,” said Voyles. “We have not formally charged him at this time, but all our evidence points to him.”

Police were called to the Express Lane, at 101 North Pontotoc, at 7:49 p.m. Saturday, after the clerk called 911 and said she had been robbed.

Voyles said a security camera captured the incident and police recognized the man involved at Bean.
