Union County Sheriff Tommy Wilhite said an incident at the Toyota plant around 11 a.m. today was a medical emergency and not an industrial accident.

At 11:15 a.m., the sheriff said a man refused an ambulance after he was found lying on machinery inside the Toyota plant near Blue Springs. Originally, the Union County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call that said a man was stuck in the machinery inside Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi. However, Wilhite said the man had a medical emergency and suspected it was low blood sugar.

"There's not anything to it," Wilhite said. "It's not an accident."
