UPDATE: Teen dies after Monday night car accident

TUPELO – A Lee County teenager died this morning after being injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday, Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green said.

Austin Krosp, 16, died after an accident on County Road 1498 in the Auburn community.

Krosp was not wearing a seat belt and the only person killed in the accident.

Gillentine-Green said the accident happened at about 7 p.m. Krosp died at the Lee County Medical Center at 1 a.m. today.
