OXFORD – Oxford police believe they have the city’s ‘panty burglar’ in custody.

Joseph Paul Lillo, 32, of the Laws Hill community has been charged with 11 counts of burglary. A judge denied Lillo bond today.

At 6:24 p.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported on Eagle Nest Lane, where the victim said someone had entered the home and stolen some of her undergarments. A witness provided the license plate number of a suspicious vehicle seen earlier in the day at the house.

Officers traced the tag number to a suspect in Marshall County. Investigators from Oxford Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff Department and Marshall County Sheriff Department served a search warrant on a residence in Marshall County. They arrested the suspect and recovered evidence.
