KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (AP) — Interim Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail and Martin Roby will be in a Nov. 27 runoff for sheriff.

The Star Herald reports that Billy J. "Joey" Halderman ran third in Tuesday's special election.

The special election is to fill the unexpired term of William Lee, who died in May. Lee had been sheriff since 2002.

Roby ran for the office in 2007 and lost to Lee in a runoff.

Nail has served as interim sheriff since Lee's death on May 7.
