No serious injuries in two separate accidents on Highway 45 Wednesday afternoon

Tupelo Police worked two separate accidents on Highway 45 Wednesday afternoon that resulted in no serious injuries, but did block traffic around the 5 p.m. hour.

Tupelo Police said the first accident took place at the Highway 45 and Main Street ramp and involved three vehicles. Another accident took place near that location when an 18-wheeler hit the side of a car. Neither accident resulted in serious injuries.

According to police around 7 p.m. traffic flow in the area was returning to normal.
