Bryant is beginning his second year as governor and will use the speech to explain his legislative agenda and outline broader goals for the state.
He's pushing for development of charter schools, which are free of some state regulations. He has also said repeatedly that he opposes expansion of Medicaid under the federal health care law that President Barack Obama signed in 2010.
Bryant talks often about improving Mississippi's health statistics by fighting obesity and reducing teenage pregnancy rates.
The State of the State date is listed in Senate Concurrent Resolution 501, and Bryant spokesman Mick Bullock confirmed the date to The Associated Press.
