The lane was completely shut down while troopers worked to upright an overturned 18-wheeler. The roadway is now open.
Highway Patrol Trooper Chris Turnipseed said the truck was pulling an empty enclosed trailer that was blown over by the wind at Okolona Road near the Lee County/Monroe County line.
Turnipseed said the driver suffered minor injuries and no other vehicles were involved.
Mississippi Department of Transportation reported at 4:40 p.m. that a traffic delay could last for approximately three hours.
Motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route and expect delays when traveling in this area while crews work on the cleanup of this accident.
