The Rebels won both games during the week, defeating Alabama 87-83 at home on Senior Night and winning 81-67 at LSU on Saturday.
Ole Miss built a 19-point lead early in the second half against Alabama then held off the Crimson Tide’s wild 3-point rally at the end.
In Baton Rouge, the Rebels took control mid-way through the first half and never let up. They led by as many as 19 points in the second half. Marshall Henderson led four players in double figures with 22 points. He was 4-for-9 from the 3-point line.
Looking ahead
The win secured a double bye for Ole Miss in the SEC tournament. The Rebels will be the last team to take the floor, playing Friday night at 9 against either Auburn, Texas A&M or Missouri, which will face the Tigers-Aggies winner on Thursday.

Jarvis Summers was solid at LSU with 15 points, five rebounds and six assists. He was 6-for-12 from the floor.
Who’s not
Reggie Buckner had nine points and seven rebounds at LSU but was 3-for-9 from the floor and turned it over three times.

Ole Miss has 23 wins overall and a school-record tying 12 wins in the (newly expanded)SEC. Still the Rebels find themselves in need of a successful SEC tournament to have a chance for an NCAA at-large bid. Ole Miss hasn’t played in the NCAA tournament since 2002.
