Entering Sunday’s final round, the Lady Bulldogs were in sixth-place and eight strokes behind secondplace Elon. Behind the team’s 11-birdie performance, MSU climbed the leaderboard.
Campbell won the tourney at 6-over 870. MSU finished at 891.
McDonald, from Fulton, turned shot a 72 on Sunday to tie for second place with a 1-under 215. She shot a 3-under-par 69 in the first round, 74 in the second. It’s her third Top 3 finish this season.
