Brandon, 32, and four others were indicted in July on federal charges they conspired to distribute narcotics and to sell them in Union County.
He pleaded guilty Wednesday to a one count agreement admitting
his involvement in the conspiracy.
In additional prison time, punishment also could be up to $1 million in fines and loss of federal benefits for up to five years. He will not be sentenced until completion of a report for the judge to consider about his punishment.
Brandon also faces a Lee County indictment alleging his fault in the May
14, 2011, DUI death of John E. Bell.
