On February 6, at 8 a.m., MDOT will switch traffic from the existing U.S. Highway 45 south to the newly paved lanes, weather permitting. This four-lane project is located between Brooksville and Carson Road, and the new lanes will serve as the southbound lanes for the four-lane once the project is complete.
This $17,977,057.80 project was awarded to Phillips Contracting Company, Inc. of Columbus, MS. The project had a letting date of January 25, 2011 and is scheduled to be completed in March of 2014.
