Mississippi State has its coaching staff intact just in time for spring football.

Scott Sallach has been named tight ends coach, the school announced Monday, resuming the duties he had since joining Dan Mullen at MSU in 2009. He replaces Tim Brewster, who took a job at Florida State shortly after being moved from wide receivers to tight ends coach last month.

That move was made when Billy Gonzales was hired as receivers coach Feb. 13. At the time, Sallach was moved to a newly created position, coordinator of scouting.

He will no longer hold that title, but the position is not currently open, a team spokesman said.

The Bulldogs, 8-5 last season, open spring practices Thursday.
