OXFORD - John Howard Strickland, 21, of San Antonio, Texas, is expected to turn himself in Wednesday to Oxford Police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Strickland will be charged with two counts of aggravated driving under the influence related to the Oct. 27 deaths of University of Mississippi students John and Sarah Wheat, a brother and sister from Compton, Md. Strickland's eastbound SUV crossed the median of Highway 6 and slammed head-on into the small car in which the Wheats were headed westbound.

"We got blood results back from the lab that justified these charges," said Oxford Police Chief Mike Martin. "We believe he was impaired when the wreck occurred."
