Tupelo man accused in auto burglaries

A Tupelo man is in police custody accused of multiple burglaries in the South Gloster Street area.

According to the Tupelo Police Department, Donald Ray Watkins, 26, is charged with four counts of auto burglary. He was arrested at a local hotel on Tuesday. He was held Thursday in the Lee County jail on a $50,000 bond.

Police say other burglaries also are under investigation.
