ICC guard named MACJC Player of the Week

FULTON – Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Ty-Nita Baker (Houston) averaged 17.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5 assists per game as the No. 13 Lady Indians went 2-1 in the opening week of the 2012-13 basketball season.

The Houston native recorded a double-double in the Lady Indians’ 85-65 win over East Central Community College where she scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 11 boards.

The Lady Indians (2-1, 0-0 MACJC North) travels to Little Rock to take on Arkansas Baptist Community College on Tuesday before returning home against Meridian Community College on Thursday and closing out the week with a road trip to East Central Community College on Saturday.
