ABERDEEN – Samuel Miller pleaded guilty Friday to lying about a federal income tax refund.

Miller, 50, no address listed, admitted to one count that he knowingly lied when he claimed a refund of $78,890.

He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Miller was indicted on two counts in December 2010 for two tax refunds totaling more than $140,000.

His offenses, federal document show, were committed in Oxford.
