Sharon Franks, widow of Joe Franks who previously served on the board, was appointed to take his seat. The Corinth Board of Aldermen earlier in the week approved her appointment to the jointly-held seat.
Crossroads Arena board president Dr. Hardwick Kay recommended Franks’ appointment, saying she would bring the energy and enthusiasm to the board that Joe Franks had.
Kay also introduced the arena’s new general manager, Tammy Genovese.
“I’m eager to be back home and part of the community again,” said Genovese, a Corinth native. “This opportunity is really great. I have felt I had something to bring to the table, and I’m excited about it. I’m open to any ideas and look forward to meeting each one of you individually.”
The arena has been without a general manager for several years, except for a four-month period September-December 2011.
