According to a news release, the Tupelo Police Department arrested James A. Young for felony fleeing on Sunday.

Police said Young, 31, fled from officers when they attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving. After a pursuit through the city, Young wrecked his vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot chase Young was taken into custody.

On Tuesday, Young was taken before Lee County Justice Court Judge John Hoyt Sheffield where his bond was set at $10,000. Young is currently on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
