Both of the injured individuals were taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center. Firefighters did have to extract the people from their vehicles. The injuries didn't appear to be life threatening, but their condition was not known late Monday.
The accident took place on Highway 45 north close to the Natchez Trace Parkway and did slow traffic for a while late Monday afternoon.
