Bulldogs back in action against Alcorn State

Mississippi State is back at Dudy Noble Field today to take on Alcorn State at 6:30 p.m.

The No. 19-ranked Bulldogs (19-4) lost two of three to LSU over the weekend in their SEC-opening series. MSU will turn to sophomore right-hander Brandon Woodruff (1-1, 3.38 ERA) on the mound tonight – it’s his fourth start this season.

Alcorn (4-17), which took two of three from Mississippi Valley State on the weekend, will start senior righty Mundo Sanchez (0-1, 4.79).

Ole Miss: The Rebels (20-2), who won their SEC opening series at Arkansas on Sunday, remained at No. 6 n the Baseball America poll. They're home against Texas A&M this weekend.
