The Board of Aldermen voted 5-1 to set the election for Dec. 11, with at-large Alderman Mike Hopkins the lone opposing vote. Hopkins said he received numerous calls from constituents opposing liquor sales. The sale of beer in Corinth is legal.
Notices will be published in the local newspaper, and a ballot is expected to be available within the week so Corinth voters can begin to vote absentee.
