OXFORD – Richard F. "Dickie" Scruggs, imprisoned on two judicial bribery convictions, will be released Dec. 12 on bond while he appeals the second one, the U.S. Bureau of Prisons website shows today.
Scruggs, 66, of Oxford completed his sentence on one conviction and asked for release before the second one began, while his appeal is considered by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
