The dirt berm along Elizabeth Street is finished. The agency on Nov. 15 paid Cook Coggin Engineers $5,416 to do the engineering design. Thursday, the board approved paying Paul Smithey $25,918 for dirtwork related to building the berm. The remainder will go toward trees and landscaping.
TRA Chairman John Oxford said the project was requested by residents. It also will improve aesthetics, reduce noise and help with marketing the property, he said.
The trees will be planted after Jan. 1.
