On 01/02/2013 Prentiss County Deputies arrested Jacob Lee Holmes, 26, of CR 7040 Booneville and he faces charges of aggravated assault stemming from a stabbing incident that occurred at 19 CR 5005 Booneville.

The victim suffered a single stab wound to the neck. He was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center where he remains. Holmes was released on a $25,000 bond the following day

On Thursday12/27/2012, Authorities with the Prentiss County Sheriff's Office, Booneville Police Department and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Marty Lambert 43 on North Road Booneville.

Investigators discovered 93 dosage units of Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) and seized about $1,900 cash.

Lambert was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.

His bond was set at $20,000.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar tells WCBI.com Evan Cox, 26, Kenny Turner III, 25, and Walker Reynolds, 25, all of Booneville were charged after narcotics officers and deputies served a search warrant Friday at 134 County Road 7131 in Booneville.

Tolar says investigators discovered a meth lab during the search and charged the three. Cox is charged with manufacturing meth, Turner with conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and Reynolds with manufacturing meth and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Two firearms were recovered from the residence, one of which was determined to have been stolen from Tennessee.

Reynolds and Turner both have holds on them either by MDOC or Drug Court.
