'Meet the Wave' baseball event tonight

The Tupelo Golden Wave baseball team will hold its annual Meet the Wave today at the Tupelo Baseball Field at the Middle School.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with introductions of the 2013 varsity, ninth grade, and eighth grade teams. That will be followed by a controlled scrimmage of the varsity.

Pending weather, the event could be moved to Thursday, with the same start time and schedule.

The Wave will play in scrimmage games Saturday at Nettleton, and will open Feb. 22-23 by hosting the Tupelo Classic.
