IUKA – When Civil Rights pioneer James Meredith visits Northeast Mississippi on Feb. 22, before he brings a 2 p.m. message to Tupelo library patrons he will give a Black History Month talk at Tishomingo County High School in Iuka at 10 a.m.

The high school’s program of history and unity features Meredith describing measures he believes will improve education for Mississippi’s youth. His book “A Mission from God” also will be available.

The TCHS Brave Voices choir, Dr. James Dye and songwriter and musician Cassie Bonner will provide musical entertainment for the free program, which is open to the entire community.
