“Any customer who has water needs due to any medical disabilities needs to please contact city hall at 489-4321,” urged Pontotoc Mayor Jeff Stafford.
“If it is imperative that you must be notified when this meter work is to be done at your home, please call us immediately.”
The city’s old manually read water meters will be systematically replaced with new electronic water meters which will be read via a computer drive-by.
“It’s going to take less than an hour at each household to replace the meter,” Stafford said.
“It’s going to be about a three month process.”
“Workers with Master Meter are going to be the guys at your meter doing the work,” he said.
Stafford said the meter conversion will begin in the southeast section of the system, including Primrose.
