Delta State’s Rhandi Ball, a sophomore forward from Pontotoc, was named an All-Gulf South Conference first team in basketball this week.

Ball is averaging 11.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Lady Statesmen (19-8), who will play Alabama-Huntsville (13-16) today in the GSC semifinals in Birmingham.

In Thursday’s 61-58 win over West Florida, Ball had career highs of 25 points and eight steals.
