Louisiana-Monroe scored twice in the bottom of the first Wednesday but Ole Miss took over from there, racing to an 8-3 road win over the Warhawks.

Andrew Mistone, Jake Overbey and Sikes Orvis each drove in a pair of runs for the Rebels (18-1), who tuned up for SEC play with their fourth straight series sweep and 10th straight win. Austin Anderson and Tanner Mathis also had RBIs.

Brady Bramlett (3-0) allowed two runs on five hits in five innings. He struck out nine and walked three. Jeremy Massie also picked up a pair of strike outs in 11⁄3 innings.

Jared Dye (1-2) was tagged with the loss after allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits in 41⁄3 innings.

Ole Miss led by a run at 4-3 in the eighth inning when Overbey belted a double to right center, scoring Orvis and Will Allen. The Rebels added a third run when Mathis hit a single to the right side to score Overbey for a 7-3 advantage.

Anderson added an insurance run in the ninth by scoring on a fielder’s choice to put Ole Miss up 8-3.

The Rebels hit the road this weekend for their SEC opener against Arkansas.
