“The vehicle was southbound on Highway 341, left the road, hit a culvert and wrecked and caught on fire,” Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer Jason Roe said. “The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Roe said the accident occurred about 11:40 a.m. about four miles south of Highway 9. It happened in almost the exact spot as another highway fatality about a month ago.
