OXFORD – The new Fast Forward section of the Oxford Film Festival, set to debut in 2017, is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Mississippi Development Authority.

The grant will go to benefit a virtual reality exhibition and educational programming for youth that will allow the film festival to shine a spotlight on emerging technologies as well as a slate of films programmed with a younger audience in mind as well as hands-on workshops.

Programming for the Fast Forward section will be announced along with the rest of the Oxford Film Festival slate in December.
