Nunnelee names new communications director

Daily Journal

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee, R-Miss., announced Elizabeth Parks as his new communications director on Monday.

A native of Fairhope, Ala., Parks joined the Nunnelee staff in March 2011, assuming the role of Associate Staff to the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies.

Prior to working for Nunnelee, Parks served as legislative staff for Adams and Reese LLP in Washington, D.C. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Auburn University in 2006.

“Elizabeth has been an integral part of our team since the very beginning,” Nunnelee said. “She has shown a great deal of motivation and dedication over the past couple of years, and I am confident that she will do an outstanding job in this new role.”

Parks replaces Jordan Russell, who has moved on to serve as communications director for Sen. Thad Cochran’s 2014 campaign.
