Singer Normani missed her BET Awards performance. She revealed on Instagram that she suffered an unspecified injury during rehearsals. "I am more frustrated and disappointed than anyone believe me. I wanted to get on here and give you guys an update letting you know that while in rehearsals for BET I had a really bad accident and injured myself," explained the singer. The ‘Dopamine’ singer said that she’s usually “good for powering through,” but she couldn't perform due to “doctor’s orders.” In her post, Normani reiterated her devastation, saying “there is nothing more I wanted to do than perform for you.” The BET Awards saw performances from Will Smith, Ice Spice, GloRilla, Lauryn Hill, Latto, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, and Tyla. Usher, SZA, and Tyla were some of the big winners on the night, with Drake being snubbed of all his seven nominations.
